As I sat on my couch and bite away at my sausage as if I had no knives or napkins. I was so in tune with the movie I was watching that I almost missed my phone ringing.

“What’s up girl, what are you getting into tonight? I feel like dancing the night away.”

My best friend said in the phone as I scrabbled around looking for the remote to pause the movie I was watching. I decided to watch the movie, Dr. Doo Little and take mental notes on the signs of being able to talk to animals and so far, I had none of the symptoms I noted. I had no clue what was going on, maybe I’m just losing my mind.

“Hello! Anyone home” My friend said loud into the phone.

“What’s up girl?” I answered back.

“Did you hear anything that I said to you?” she asked.

“Hell, no I was studying something.”

“You enrolled back in school?” she asked me.

“No not really just checking something out. What’s going on, what were you saying?” I responded.

“I was asking did you want to dance the night away with me at the new club on the other side of town? I’m driving” she said.

“I’m glad you hurried up and added that you’re driving at the end of that because you’re across the town is more like Earth to Mars” I said with a semi-serious voice.

“You going or not? Never mind I’ll be there at 10pm.” She said as she hung the phone up in my face.

Before I could put the phone back on the arm of the couch my phone ding letting me know that I had a text message. I opened it up and it was a picture of baby alligator with the caption.

“I’ll miss you.” I knew who it was from, but why a baby alligator.

“I don’t want to know anything anymore.” I said this now throwing the phone across the couch.

What a mess, let me clean up and get ready to show off the moves that Mr. A showed me a few weeks ago.
